Empowering Women
Within the textiles industry many women from various parts of the globe are unfairly treated and often harassed, yet depend
on these jobs as the only means for survival. AKABI stands on the ground that all men are created equal and all deserve a decent
standard of life and so we believe in providing a decent wage.
As AKABI believes in empowering women and supporting those women from disadvantaged backgrounds, we are working for ways to develop skills with women
using sewing to empower them to set up their own businesses.
This is work in progress but for the present time AKABI will be donating 10% of sales to the Seed of Hope charity in Kenya
(http://www.seedofhope.info/concept.html) which works to bring hope to orphaned, destitute and disadvantaged teenage girls in Kenya, and
helping them to have brighter future.
